Dr. Prabhas Prasun Giri completed his MBBS from NRS Medical College in 2007. He had been a brilliant student all throughout his MBBS carrier with first certificates and honours in many subjects. After pursuing his MBBS he completed his MD in Pediatrics from Institute of Child Health, Kolkata in 2012 and then acquired the prestigious membership of Royal College of Pediatrics and Child Health of United Kingdom (MRCPCH-UK) in 2015. He had been awarded the fellowship of Royal College of Child Health of United Kingdom (FRCPCH-UK), the highest honour of the Royal College of child health, UK in 2021. Dr Giri has more than 13 years of experience of managing very sick, critical and complicated patients in PICU settings. More than 2500 extremely sick kids had been ventilated under his guidance in the last one decade with an excellent survival. Dr. Giri is also a great academician and a post graduate teacher and examiner in Pediatrics. He has more than 60 national and international publications in reputed peer reviewed journals and presented papers or took part as a faculty in more than 25 national and international conferences. He has also contributed chapters in many books as an author. He is currently working as Professor of Pediatrics and In Charge of Pediatric intensive Care Unit (PICU) of Institute Of Child Health (ICH), Kolkata. He is also the Director of the IFPCCM (Indian Fellowship in Pediatric critical care medicine) at Institute Of Child Health, Kolkata. He is also attached with MANIPAL HOSPITAL MUKUNDOPUR, as a consultant Visiting Pediatrician. He provides OPD services for routine and follow up care, vaccination as well as indoor and intensive care services for sick kids.
