Unbox The Device

You can initiate the setup process by unpacking your Wavlink router device. Along with the router device inside the packaging you will also find an ethernet cable, power adapter and quick user manual. You need to remove the packaging and inspect the device. Check for the Ethernet ports available on your router and study the LED behaviour of the router.

Place The Device

Moving further in the Wavlink Router Setup process you have to start looking for a place to put your router. You have to keep the router to a Central location so that it can transmit the signals all over your home or office. Avoid placing the router closer to heavy metal objects or in corners as it may restrict signals. Also you have to pay attention that your router placement is only that much further away from the modem device than the Long ethernet cable you have.

Hardware Connection

Next step of the process is hardware connection in which you have to connect the router device with the modem device. Prior to connecting the router with the modem you have to unplug your modem from the power. Now take the ethernet cable and inject it into the router's WAN port. Connect the other and of the same cable into the LAN port of the modem.

Power Of The Device

Now you have to power on your router device with the help of an electric outlet and power adapter. Properly inject the pin of the adapter into the router and then connect the plug with the electric outlet. Turn on the power supply and wait until your device gets started. You have to wait till the time the device LED gets stable to proceed further in the process.

Connect To Router Network

As your device is ready to configure you need to take a client device to initiate the access of the setup page. Prior to that you have to connect your client device with the router network using the default wireless network name and password. Instead of connecting the devices wirelessly you can also connect it using the ethernet cable if your client device supports ethernet connection.

Launch A Web Browser

Now you have to launch a web browser to access the wavlink router setup page. We advise you to use a web browser which is updated and has no cache or cookies to restrict the access. Specify the web address or IP address to open the router's web interface. After specifying the address you need to click on the enter button to open the page.

Access Setup Page

As the page displays on your computer or laptop screen, you have to mention the default login credentials which are admin for username and password for password to gain access to the routers dashboard. Once you enter the admin panel of the router, you can easily configure the device.

Configure Settings

From the admin panel you need to start the Wavlink Router Setup by connecting the router with the internet. Choose the internet type and then follow the on screen guide to connect the device. After that you have to configure the wireless network name and password of the router also. In addition to this you have to change the default admin login credentials to secure your network. Furthermore update the firmware and submit the changes you have done.
