Audemars Piguet Launches New 42mm Royal Oak Offshore Automatic Chronograph
The Swiss luxury watchmaker Audemars Piguet launches two new Royal Oak Offshore 42mm automatic chronographs, equipped with the latest Audemars Piguet 4404 integrated flyback chronograph movement. The extremely sturdy titanium or stainless steel case is paired with a light blue or military green "Méga Tapisserie" oversized checkered surface and a quick-release rubber strap with a delicate texture in the same color. The surface design has been subtly adjusted to be more eye-catching and easy to read. The new watches will be sold exclusively in Audemars Piguet boutiques around the world, leading collectors on an adventure.
The latest flyback chronograph movement
Brings excellent performance
The two new Royal Oak Offshore models are equipped with the latest Audemars Piguet 4404 automatic integrated chronograph movement, which combines column wheel and flyback functions. The timing can be restarted without pressing the stop or reset button first. The column wheel and vertical clutch mechanism work together to ensure that the chronograph hands respond immediately and smoothly when the chronograph is started or stopped. In addition, the chronograph buttons are very flexible to operate, and the patented reset-free mechanism ensures that each timer hand returns to zero instantly.
Through the sapphire crystal glass back of the watch, you can fully appreciate the column wheel of the movement and the graceful "dance" of the zeroing hammer when the chronograph function is activated*. You can also see the exclusive 22K rose gold automatic disk with the word "AP" embossed, as well as the delicate hand-finished decorations such as Geneva ripples, matte polishing, and bright polished chamfers.
*Press the zeroing button, and the zeroing hammer will strike the core cam of the chronograph device driven by the exclusive lever, driving the column wheel and chronograph hands back to the starting point.

Safe and efficient one-button quick-release strap
Both new Royal Oak Offshore Automatic Chronographs are equipped with Audemars Piguet's new quick-release strap. The ingenious strap replacement mechanism is built into the case interface and buckle, and is integrated with the case, showing a harmonious beauty.
The "one-touch" unlocking design allows the owner of the new timepiece to easily and efficiently change the strap and buckle by himself. The double push-lock device is safe and reliable, ensuring that the timepiece worn on the wrist will never come loose.
The two new timepieces are paired with a light blue or military green quick-release rubber strap with exquisite textures according to their surface color, and come with a black quick-release calfskin strap for the owner to change at will. Audemars Piguet launched a wide range of quick-release strap styles in 2021. In addition to the above standard configuration, the owner can also choose a dark blue or black rubber strap for his Royal Oak Offshore 42mm watch.
A design that combines boldness and elegance
The new Royal Oak Offshore timepiece is available in two versions: a stainless steel case and a titanium case, both with a black rubber crown and chronograph buttons. The meticulous hand-finished decoration presents the brand's classic matte polishing and polished chamfers.
The stainless steel watch is paired with a light blue "Méga Tapisserie" super-large checkered surface (this pattern first appeared in the Royal Oak Offshore series in 2001), as well as a black timer and a black inner bezel. The central chronograph second hand and the Arabic numerals of the timer are orange, adding a touch of bright color to the timepiece. The titanium watch is paired with a military green "Méga Tapisserie" super-large checkered surface and an inner bezel of the same color. The silver timer is printed with black hour markers and black Arabic numerals, and uses black chronograph hands, which are in sharp contrast and easy to read.
In addition to the novel colors, the design of the Audemars Piguet logo also shows a new look. The "AP" abbreviation replaces the "Audemars Piguet" logo and moves to the 3 o'clock position, which is more sporty.
Both models maintain the vertical counter configuration of the original Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph, but the position of the hour counter and small seconds hand are reversed for smoother and easier reading. The hour counter moves to 12 o'clock and the small seconds hand moves to 6 o'clock. The position of the minute counter remains unchanged at 9 o'clock. In addition, all counters are equidistant from the center of the dial to provide a more beautiful visual balance, and there is a magnifying glass built into the dial above the date display window.
The luminescent white gold applied hour markers, Arabic numerals and Royal Oak hands resonate harmoniously with the case, making the design of both timepieces perfect.
